It is composed of:

* A PVC structure with sliding floors (L x l x h = 60 x 60 x 40 cm) and is equipped with some infrared sensors so as to a precise animal localisation. A kit to measure rearings can be added.

* An electronic interface, which permits the communication with the computer.

A software for windows permits:

 

* animal graphical follow-up,

* to record data in some files,

* to replay the record,

 

* Moreover, the system is sold with a program which permits to manage recorded experiments. It permits notably to combine your files so as to compare results and to gain disk space. You can also adapt this combined file by selecting only the output variables in the proposed list (total activity, rearing, covered distance, area preference, time passed in area...). The output variables' presentations and their kinetics can be visualised either with whatever software which accepts the text format (Notepad, Wordpad, Word...) or with EXCEL.
